Slow Textiles Group at the House of Lords

Slow Textiles Group members have been liaising with MPs and members of the House of Lords recently to make sure Sustainable Textiles stay firmly on the political agenda.

We were delighted to be invited to join Baroness Lola Young, Dilys Williams and Kate Fletcher hear William Kroll present his weaving and indigo dyeing process in the Committee Room at the House of Lords. We went on to discuss plans for the All Party Political Group to develop further.

Original Liberty Prints Books 1890 -1910

Members Melanie Bowles and Emma Neuberg were thrilled to recently spend time at the Liberty’s Archives getting inspiration for the next Slow/Fast Textiles Print workshops.

These new workshops will be at the V&A Museum in April, May and June 2011, to run in conjunction with the new  The Cult of Beauty: The Aesthetic Movement 1860 – 1900 exhibition.
